What the name tells you
Manila Bulletin reported on August 10, 2024 that Vic Sotto had been introduced as a PlayTime PH endorser in July that year. That historical report explains the association between the names; it does not establish that every page using his picture is affiliated with the platform. Read the 2024 report.
When a result says “Vic Soto Scatter,” separate three things: the person in an advertisement, the business offering an account, and the title of the game shown. Write down the business and game names rather than relying on a remembered face or slogan.
Read a search result before you follow it
- Look at the destination: the displayed page title can mention a brand even when its domain belongs to an unrelated publisher.
- Identify the page's purpose: a blog article explains a topic; an operator page handles accounts; an affiliate link may route through a tracking service.
- Check the date: a historical endorsement report is not a current promotion or an installer release note.
- Look for accountable publishing: an About page, contact route, and clear affiliate disclosure help explain who is speaking.
For example, an article titled with a celebrity's name may be an independent guide like this one. It should not ask you to submit a casino password or pretend to be the celebrity's personal support service.
Check the domain, not just the artwork
PAGCOR's Electronic Gaming Licensing page links to lists of registered brands and domain names. Use those records to compare the exact address of a gaming service, rather than treating a copied logo as evidence. This is a verification step, not a claim that a domain appearing in a search result is approved. Open PAGCOR's licensing resources.
If a link redirects, check the final destination again before entering personal information. Stop if the business name or address does not match what you intended to visit. A familiar image does not resolve that mismatch.
